I bring reusable shopping bags to buy produce at the local market, but sometimes vendors are really insistent on putting stuff in plastic bags. I am too afraid of being rude to take the stuff out and hand the plastic bag back to them.

I have a co-worker that lives 5 houses down from me, he has offered to car pool with me several times, but I always make excuses because I'm selfish and want the "quiet time" of my 30 minute commute to work. Ugh.
